"OFF ON ANOTHER ADVENTURE"

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

"It can't believe it," Alecs says moments after I open my eyes, "we're off on another adventure." Indeed, this morning is our last morning in Australia for the next several weeks. At 2:20PM today we will be on a plane bound for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - a place we have yet to visit. "My mom emailed," I say sitting at the computer, "there's a big snow storm in Calgary and their flight might be delayed." My Mom, Dad and Brother should be arriving in Malaysia two hours after we arrive if all their flights go as planned, but for now we are just keeping our fingers crossed that they arrive safely. Alecs folds the pizza box from the night before and I wash out the celebratory beer bottles before packing the last few items on the list. Within the hour the apartment is clean, our backpack is packed (yes we managed to fit everything into one bag) and we are ready to go. Our travels will take us through Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand, at which point my family will head back to Canada and Alecs and I will continue onto the Philippines before returning to Australia at the end of January. We are looking forward to another epic journey that is sure to produce a plethora of stories to come! So stay tuned as we will be continually updating this blog in the days and weeks to come!
